Between January 4 and January 15, Jirka Fišerová and Šárka Škodová attended an international course for teachers of German organized by DID language school in Berlin. The morning lessons were focused on conversation and grammar development in the form of varied interactive exercises and approaches. The learning group consisted of participants for all around the world, which lead to discussions about history, industry, culture and political situation in individual countries. The afternoon classes involved job shadowing inspections in the lessons of the language school teachers. They highly appreciated the possibility to attend classes with students of different levels. As teachers, they favoured subsequent interviews and analyses of the lessons and the discussions with other participants in which they could exchange their experience and opinions on teaching strategies. The tutor also provided them with tips on useful books, films, websites that they are going to use in their classes.
